Paddle the “Jewel” of Jax with Art of Adventure

, , , , ,

Today, we’re exploring a tributary of the St. Johns River in the Jacksonville area! In the below video, Pascale Head of Art of Adventure shares a serene 7-mile paddle launching from Tommy Hazouri Sr. Park along Julington Creek. Even if you don’t have your own kayak or stand up paddle board, a new program at this park allows you to rent one on an hourly basis.

Pascale and Mo share launch tips, the route they took and possible alternate launch points to make your trip a little shorter, how they check the tides before a paddle trip, what they bring with them and more.

Tommy Hazouri Sr. Park is a beautiful respite from the city where you can enjoy hiking trails, fishing, a playground, and a user-friendly kayak launch. If you get out to explore this tributary of the St. Johns, share your adventure with us using #ExploreTheStJohns on Instagram.
