A travel destination in Florida, the Ocala National Forest has more than 600 lakes and rivers for guests to enjoy. Visitors can partake in a number of recreational activities, including fishing, waterskiing, biking, hunting, snorkeling, canoeing, and swimming. Those wanting to see manatees may spot some here! The Ocala National Forest also has some of the rarest plants in the world. The park is extremely busy on weekends, so make sure to get there early! Guests can camp overnight in one of 14 areas for campground camping. RV camping is also available. There are two cabins available for rent, each with beautiful views! Picnicking is also a fun activity, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while viewing what the park has to offer. Relax and have fun at Ocala National Forest with many recreational activities and sites. Dogs are allowed in most areas. While the forest itself is open 24 hours a day, recreation sites have specific hours.
