Experience the St. Johns River estuary right at the mouth of the river at Huguenot Memorial Park. Visitors can enjoy surfing, fishing, kite boarding, foiling, wind surfing, kayaking and more both on the ocean and the St. Johns. Make an online reservation to stay overnight at the campground, which has electrical, a dump station and a potable water station. This park is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail and is an excellent place for birding. Those who choose to drive on the beach are asked to use caution, avoid groups of birds and adhere to the 5mph speed limit to avoid harming the wildlife. You can see Naval Station Mayport across the St. Johns River.
