Visit J.P. Hall Bayard Point Conservation Area to hike, bike, and enjoy natural Florida's variety of flora and fauna. Bayard Point includes two campsites: one right on the St. Johns River, and one near a lovely stream. The property is accessible by water, but there are no boat/kayak launches. Ecosystems include riverine bottomland hardwoods, pine flatwoods and sandhill communities, teeming with wildlife such as gopher tortoises, Florida black bears, bald eagles, little blue herons, eastern indigo snakes, deer, turkey, warblers and woodpeckers. Hikers can traverse the White Blaze Trail Loop (7 miles), or veer off on the Yellow Blaze Trail (1.7 miles), or the Red Blaze Spur (1.5 miles) which leads you to the river.
